WHAT IS PMU
Permanent make-up also known as micro-pigmentation is ideal for those of you who want to wake up with fresh natural looking make-up every day. PMU is the process of implanting medical grade cosmetic pigments into the upper layers of the skin using an electronic precision + hand piece and disposable needles. The results are stunning; I aim to give you the most natural look. I use colours that are custom-blended to complement your skin tone, eye and hair colour to give a soft and natural appearance. Busy women creating makeup looks that lasts. For perfectly balanced and shaped eyebrows, for a lipstick that stays put and for non-smudge eyeliner semi permanent makeup is every woman’s answer. Coloured pigments are implanted into the skin to replicate makeup that last 24/7, creating beautiful and fresh makeup looks that last all day every day, slowly fading with time. Whether you are 18 or 88 we have a treatment that simplifies your makeup routine what’s not to like?
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Please allow 2 hours for your first procedure. After a thorough consultation including in-depth medical history, I then discuss, design and pre draw using a cosmetic pencil. I take into account clients wishes as well as your face shape. I then discuss and choose colours to match hair/skin colour (for eyebrows). When you are happy and we have taken photos we can proceed with the treatment. Numbing creams are used prior to and throughout the procedure to ensure complete comfort in accordance to strict health and safety protocols using single use sterile needle cartridges.
WHO IS PMU SUITABLE FOR?
- Lack of eyebrow hairs
- Creating more fullness/shape
- Restore uneven lip line
- Eyelash definition
- Over plucked brows
- Eyebrow symmetry
- Alopecia or Cancer clients
- Unsteady hands/poor eyesight
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The colour will fade and soften in time and this will be accelerated by the use of glycolic products that can be found in some skin care, sun exposure, sweating and regular use of tanning beds. On average it can last between 2-5 years but will need a colour boost at regular intervals.
WHO CAN HAVE PMU?
Anyone over the age of 18 and not pregnant, breast feeding or undergoing treatment for cancer.
HOW LONG IS THE HEALING TIME?
Immediately after your treatment the area will be quite dark. As the skin begins it’s healing process over the next few days you may see a thin scab form (this is to protect the area). Itching and dryness are common from day 5 but please DO NOT PICK at the area as you may remove the pigment also! From day 10-14 you will see the area lighten by about 30-40%.

This treatment will reduce dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are seen when the facial muscles contract that is when you frown, raise the eyebrows or squint the eyes. B*t*x reduces these by weakening the pull of the muscles; when the muscles relax the lines go away.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy Background Information
Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP therapy, also known as autologous rejuvenation therapy, is a revolutionary new treatment. It is often also referred to, by the media, as a “Vampire Facelift” or “Dracula Therapy”.
PRP therapy works on the basis that the body’s own natural healing powers may slow and even reverse the ageing process – it’s a revolutionary repair system that places growth factors in the exact location where we want the skin to repair and rejuvenate itself.
Blood (a small amount) is taken from the patient during the treatment, then treated (in a centrifuge) to harvest the platelet rich plasma and re-injected into the desired area. The therapy is said to plump skin, fill out fine lines and wrinkles, and give an overall more radiant appearance.
What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy and How Does it Work?
PRP therapy involves harvesting platelets from the patient’s own blood in order to inject them into problem skin areas, giving it the nicknames Vampire Facelift and Dracula Therapy. Before the procedure, a small amount of blood is taken from the patient and put into a centrifuge, where the blood is spun in order to separate the red blood cells from the platelet plasma. The platelet plasma, which is the component of the blood that is know for being highly effective in treating burns and skin injuries, is then injected into the chosen area, where it plumps up the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
When the platelet plasma is injected into the skin, the platelets release their growth factors. The growth factors stimulate other cells surrounding the injection site, plumping them up and causing them to increase in volume. The platelet plasma sends out signals to other cells in the body when its injected, telling them to rush forward to the injection site. One cell that is stimulated during the process is the fibroblast cell, which is the cell type that creates collagen. Collagen is what gives skin a youthful appearance. As we age, collagen is produced less and less, causing wrinkles and fine lines in the skin, and therapies such as PRP therapy that stimulate collagen production can counteract this. Another cell stimulated during the process is the pre-adipocyte cell, which is a cell type that can convert into a fat cell, which is especially important in the face to fill out lines and to contour the face.
DERMA FIX STAMPING PEN
GENOSYS DERMAFIX is an automatic device for micro needling therapy.
It helps increase the absorption rate of active ingredients of skin care products by creating physical pathways through skin. And it helps collagen and elastin induction through natural wound healing process of skin.
SKIN ROLLING (DERMA ROLLING)
Derma Rollers have around, rotating cylinder with at least 200 tiny needles protruding from it, and a handle for moving it around your face.
The Derma Roller makes use of an amazing technology called skin needling, during which the roller’s micro-needles stimulate the deeper layers of your skin, encouraging the production of an important substance called collagen. Collagen is important to the healthy and youthful appearance of skin, and when produced as a result of Derma Roller, you can see a dramatic effect on a number of conditions.
These include; ageing (loss of collagen, elasticity, lines and wrinkles), acne scars, stretch marks, pigmentation and hair loss or thinning.
